Ladies, for years I struggled with cramps that would make me want to lay in bed with a heating pad, take as many ibprofin as possible, and not move for a couple days. Sound familiar? Now, it's honestly not too bad. Here's how I did it. 💫 ⠀
⠀
First and foremost, if you are not using either organic cotton OR a menstrual cup, PLEASE make the switch as soon as possible. This made an instant and HUGE difference for me. I first went organic, but that got expensive, so I took a quiz on putacupinit and I will never go back. I used to only be able to use pads and I still love it. 😄⠀
⠀
Why is organic so important? Cotton is a textile crop and so there are few regulations on what nasty chemicals, bleaches, fragrances, and pesticides that are able to be used with these crops. Then, when all of that comes into contact with an incredibly sensitive area, it gets absorbed into your body, wrecking havoc every single month.⠀
After that switch, I still have some cramping and pain, but it is very minimal and goes away with a little help from my oils. Marjoram and Copaiba combined with a couple drops of fractionated coconut oil rubbed right on my belly. I do that every 20 minutes until pain subsides, and is the most effective for me. When I start to feel it wearing off after that point, I do it again and normally only need it a few times a day after I get it under control the first day. I also keep a roller with me at all times with this combo, just in case I am out and need it. 😊 If I don't have any fractionated coconut oil, I will just rub it on without any dilution, just test this first because Marjoram can cause a warming sensation for some. If I can, I will also take a dose of my Leefy Organics anti-inflammatory tincture.
